Description

Sculptural bust inspired by Medusa, whose power was to turn others to stone with her gaze. The classical form and serpent hair preserve the intensity of the myth, while the glasses and chewing gum introduce an ironic, contemporary twist. Within the ICONS ON BREAK collection, Medusa no longer petrifies through fear: she leaves the viewer frozen by the aesthetic power of the piece, exercising her authority through design and off the pedestal.

ICONS ON BREAK COLLECTION

A collection of sculptural busts that reinterprets great icons from art history, culture, and the collective imagination through a contemporary lens. Traditionally solemn figures step down from their pedestal to appear more human, ironic, and current.
Glasses and chewing gum act as a shared gesture: a small act of rebellion that connects all the pieces and questions, with humor and design, the idea of the untouchable icon.

Hand-crafted and made to order
Each piece is produced on demand in our studio in Benissa, Spain. The creations take shape through an innovative manufacturing process: digitally designed and 3D printed, then carefully finished by hand, blending technological precision with artisanal craftsmanship.

Materials & Process
Our pieces are 3D printed using a biodegradable material derived from natural compounds. They then go through a meticulous hand-finishing process, where textures and eco-friendly paints inspired by nature and traditional artisanal finishes are applied, highlighting the dialogue between technology, craftsmanship, and the natural world.
Our 3D Printing Lab is fully powered by solar energy, minimizing environmental impact.

Customization
This piece can be personalized at no additional cost by choosing the color of the glasses and chewing gum.

Care Instructions
Our pieces are made from a natural material sensitive to heat; therefore, they should be protected from direct sunlight or place near heat sources (above 45 °C) to preserve their qualities. They are intended exclusively for indoor use in domestic or comparable environments (homes, offices, retail, hospitality, etc.). Avoid high humidity and condensation.
